Beautiful Green Calcite Specimen 568g. From Mexico. Nice green/blue color, turns to a yellowish green in the sun or with an light. There are layers of color including the green blue and also some yellow and brown and even white. Really cool specimen. 1lb 4oz

Gem Info and Lore:

Calcite, the most stable form of calcium carbonate is a primary ore of calcium. Calcium carbonates are a very abundant group of minerals and in their purest form, they are completely colorless with excellent transparency. Calcite is often referred to as limespar or calspar and is a primary mineral found in metamorphic marble. Calcite is also a common constituent of sedimentary rock, such as limestone, which often contains organic materials including the shell remains of marine organisms.
Calcite is quite soft and fragile compared to other gem types. It is usually dipped in metric acid, to protect the crystals. Muriatic Acid is used to help keep the crystals together it also give it a nice glossy look!

Green calcite is a grounding and centering stone that brings stability. It increases success, prosperity, business, and fertility of all kinds. It is an excellent stone for gardening. It is also considered a stone of manifestation because of it's ability to develop increase in all areas.
